A merchandiser is a very important officer for the ready-made garment industry. His responsibilities are immense. In a word, the merchandiser is the one who manages the whole process from the production of the product to the marketing and sale in the market. And this process or profession is called merchandising.

It is quite respectable and attractive and its salary is also higher than other professions. The readymade garment industry can be called a lifeline. Because, the main job field of merchandising is in the buying house and garment industries.

At present there are about 11,000 garment industries in our country. There are numerous buying houses, sweater factories, textile industry and quality control institutes and fashion design houses.

Therefore, it can be said with great certainty that if one has a degree and training in this field, he will get a job in any garment factory with an attractive salary and allowance at the beginning. Apart from that, there is also the possibility of fast promotion of hardworking people.

Early in the career, a merchandiser starts working as a Management Trainee or Intern.

Salary will depend on work experience and skills. Although the start is 20 to 25 thousand rupees, after 2 to 3 years of experience in a multinational company Buying house / liaison office can work at a higher salary. And their workplace is buying house, garment industry, EPZ, fashion house and textile industries.

Foreign countries also export manpower from our country to work in this sector. In that case, there is an opportunity to work in foreign countries with high salary. No matter what you study, if you have the willpower in your mind, you too can be a merchandiser. If you are interested, even the less gifted students can build a good career in these subjects.
